Abseil2 - Teesside hospice

Back in June some of the Web.com Team bravely undertook a charity abseil in Middlesbrough to raise money for Teesside Hospice.

Our daring employees tackled the iconic famous landmark, the Transporter Bridge, standing at 65m high, on Sunday 12th June. The granddaughter of our Head of Quality also took part and Evie Lowther (just 6 years old!) has now became the youngest person ever to do the abseil!

We raised £1535 in total in aid of Teesside Hospice – which cared for our much loved friend and employee Helen ‘Monty’ Lightowler. Today we visited the Hospice and made our donation in memory of our amazing Monty.

The money will help fund the hospice’s services focusing on providing expertise in pain, symptom management and psychological support as well as end of life care.

The team here at Web.com will continue to raise money in memory of Monty – next up is Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September. ‎
